Engage In Building Next Generation Transformational Leaders
Dear Friends,
The cremation of Vijay's father was over and the rituals were completed, his mother was explaining to Vijay that he has to take responsibility for his family. Needless to say he was upset because he knew he could not take on such a large responsibility. Tears flowed down his eyes as his mother started getting emotional, screaming at him saying, "Vijay, you cannot go to school anymore and you should start working".
Vijay was her oldest son only 12 year and culturally the responsibility for the entire family was on his shoulders. Not knowing what to do and how to care for his family, nor wanting to give up on his studies, he met one of the teachers at HBI Child Development center and shared his fears, challenges and agony.
The teacher calmed him down and promised to help him excel in his studies. She also convinced Vijay's mother to let him continue his studies. After a very long discussion Vijay's mother agreed. Vijay worked hard and God helped Vijay to come first in class, finish high school with flying colors and now he is doing his under graduate program in Business Administration.
Vijay's vision is to complete a Master in Business Administration, get a good job and invest his earnings in not only caring for the family but also in starting at least 20 child development centers. He wants every child in India to go to school, get a good education and come up in life like him.
Working with Children really enables us to leave a legacy and build values that will help build a new and better India - An India that leaves greater hope for the Next Generation.

* A little over one-third of all children who enroll in grade 1 only reach grade 8.

On this trip I had the privilege of meeting with one of our partner families. They have been to India many times and have invested in the development of our leaders and their families. They said to me "Bobby we will like to leave a legacy in India that will live long beyond our lives and this generation". As was spoke I shared with them our vision for the Next Generation Transformational Leaders. We believe they need to be raised from child hood and not wait till they become an adult before we begin the process.
This couple love India and want every Indian to be saved and the nation to become light in the midst of darkness and said they loved the strategy. They spoke to their children and their extended family. They all believe this will be a great way to leave a legacy for Christ long after all of us are gone. They said, "Bobby we will commit to give HBI a grant of $100,000 in matching towards such a vision".
I said Praise the Lord. HBI has the land and with such a grant we should be able to start three Primary schools!
